Telling the stories that feed the nation
Nature & ManZW is a homegrown, independent journalism initiative reporting on agriculture and rural development across Zimbabwe — the farms, irrigation schemes and villages where policy meets the ground.
Our story
Founded in 2024 by journalist Sharleen Mohammed, our mission is to shine a spotlight on agricultural transformation, government-led rural empowerment programmes, and the untold success stories of smallholder farmers, cooperatives and rural communities across the country.
By covering real impact, bridging the gap between policy and people, and giving voice to the beneficiaries of national programmes, we are building a positive narrative around Zimbabwe's agricultural journey.
We believe progress deserves a platform — and that everyday heroes in the field deserve to be heard.
What we do
Government initiatives
We report on national agriculture programmes and the impact they have on rural communities.
Success stories
We cover the farmers, youth and women whose work is changing what their districts can grow.
Solutions, not just problems
Where implementation falls short, we name the gap and report on what would close it.
A voice for the field
Agritex officers, beneficiaries, cooperatives and development partners speak in their own words.
To become Zimbabwe's leading source of agriculture success journalism, and a trusted bridge between policy and people.
To inform, inspire and empower by showing the real impact of government and community-led agriculture development.
